  • Jae Kyu Lee

    Dr Lee is a Professor of Management Information Systems in the College of Business at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in Seoul since 1985. He served as Dean of the College of Business at KAIST during 2006-7, and currently serves as Dean of EEWS (Energy, Environment, Water and Sustainability).

    He received his Ph.D. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (1985). He was a visiting professor of Carnegie-Mellon University, University of Texas at Austin, and City University of Hong Kong. He served as Associate Dean in the School of Information Systems at Singapore Management University.
    Currently, he serves as the co-chair of ICIS 2011 Doctoral Consortium in Shanghai. He served as co-chair of the Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (2001, 2006) and chair of the International Conference on Electronic Commerce. He was a program committee member of numerous international conferences on information systems and intelligent systems. He was president of the Korea Society of Management Information Systems and Korea Society of Intelligent Information Systems. He received best paper awards nine times from major conferences, and received the highly prestigious Maekyung Economist Prize (2004) and the national decoration from Korean Government.

    He was editor-in-chief of the journal, Electronic Commerce Research and Applications (Elsevier) and serves as associate editor of journals such as Decision Support Systems, International Journal of Electronic Commerce, and Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce. He authored and edited 11 books in the area of Electronic Commerce, Information System, and Intelligent Systems, published 53 international journal papers, and presented 18 keynote speeches at major international conferences and workshops.
